TOPOGRAPHY
The Whole county is about 945
200 square km /364 943 square miles big and much of if is set aside for
game reserves and vast open unspoiled nature.
Some of the minerals found there is Tanzanite, Gold , tin and diamonds
Tanzania can boast with the lowest point in Africa and the highest, the
lowest being the bottom of Lake Tanganyika the lake being 1435 meters
deep and mount Kilimanjaro being 5895 meters high.
Tanzania can also boast with mount Meru 4565 meters high and the Ngorongoro
Crater which is 20 km/12 miles wide.
SEASONS
The
following is just a rough guide to help you pack the right clothing
November through to late May
Rain could be expected
Being High up in Africa cold could be expected only on the high grounds
and frost could occur.
Min of up to - 8 degrees Celsius/ 17 Fahrenheit could occur and colder
on Mt.Kilimanjaro
Max of up to 40 degrees Celsius/ 104 Fahrenheit could occur ( hottest
time of the year)
But the normal every day is
Min 2 degrees Celsius / 35 Fahrenheit
Max 35 degrees Celsius / 95 Fahrenheit
Small
Hints:
Covering the skin is sometimes
better then exposing skin,
It is nicer to enjoy the trip then to have red burning skin or even Blisters
from the sun .
Mt KILIMANJARO
The mountain was formed due to volcanic activity and and created the
world highest freestanding mountain.
The summet is only 3 degrees south of the equator and still the covered
in snow.
SAVUTI
NATIONAL PARK
Just north of Moremi National
park it shares in the vastness of the place and the animals
Lions in this park and in Chobe have mastered the skill of predating on
the biggest of mammals in Africa and are also known to have brought down
Elephant.
Landscapes are a lot different from that of Moremi and more pans and sand
flats, with beautiful granite outcrops or koppies seen.
Rich mopani woodlands support the huge number of Elephant roaming these
areas.
The Central camp is where we could make camp and being the same as Moremi,
having elephants and other animals in camp is just wonderful

ZANZIBAR
The islands consist of two
seperate islands 40 km off shore, the well known Zanzibar is a beach idyll.
The town is a old historical town dating back to Arabic, Swahilli, Asian
and European origins which is called Stone town with narrow streets, paths
and alleys.
NGORONGORO CRATER
The crater is the largest intact
volcanic caldera in the World and forms the Ngorongoro National Park,
The expansive tableland that covers the 265 km square/ 102 square miles
is protected by it's walls 600 meters high and hosts many animals within
it walls, as much as 250 000 large mammals live there.
SERENGETI
The open plains of Afica, where
Millions of wildebeest and sebra could be seen on the anuall migration
north and the south again later in the year.
With all these game the the predators are not far behind and they too
could be seen there in good numbers.
Come and witness one of the largest treks of animals migration that is
as long as 800 km / 500 miles going only after the rains that provide
the grass they live on.
LAKES
With so many lakes why not
come and do fishing on these great lakes and see the fastness of the shere
size of these lakes.
