Mozambique was a war stricken country for many years and the United Nations has succeeded in their large scale cleanup of all old warheads and landmines.
Travelling through the countryside you can see some of the effects of the war.
There are very beautiful landscapes and spectacular beaches
The size of Mozambique is 783 763 square km/ 302 612 square miles

SEASONS

The following is just a rough guide to help you pack the right clothing

September through to late March, rain could be expected
Winter cold could be felt from March to late August
Min of up to - 2 degrees Celsius/ 28 Fahrenheit could occur
Max of up to 50 degrees Celsius/ 122 Fahrenheit could occur (hottest time of the year)
Humidity only in a few towns and places along the coastline and further North

But the normal every day is Min 10 degrees Celsius / 50 Fahrenheit.
Max 35 degrees Celsius / 95 Fahrenheit

It is nicer to enjoy the trip than to have red burning skin or even blisters from the sun

WHERE WE GO

Starting in Johannesburg and driving to Mozambique.
Travelling along the shoreline - a must see for ocean lovers!
Clean beaches and white sand - need I say more?
Alone and tranquil, you could walk up the beach for miles and not see another living soul.
Love Sea Food? - well that is all you can get there.
Fresh Prawns, Lobsters, Calamari and numerous fish species to choose from.
Buy the catch of the day on the beach and cook up a storm.
While we are driving buy bags of freshly roasted Cashew nuts and fresh fruit along the way
Pick coconuts freshly off the trees and eat them as fresh as nature could provide them!
