NORMAL ROUTINE OF OUR DAYS

Getting up early enough to see the breathtaking sunrise and listening to the birds singing their melodies, welcoming a brand new day full of promises and to sit down to a light breakfast.

Right after breakfast we set out for the bush to see what we can find in those remote places where the most unexpected scenes could happen right in front of your eyes; things that few people would ever see in their lifetime.
After thoroughly enjoying the morning we go back to the camp for lunch and to settle down for a Siesta during the heat of the day.

Approximately 3pm we take a drive to once again see what we can find and later to come back to bubbling pots and the delightful aroma of supper.

If on the road, we would set out to head for our next destination where we will be staying. Along the way we will also stop for sightseeing and lunch, taking heed to be in at camp before sunset to set up camp for the night

SAFETY

Yes, safety is a very important consideration when planning a holiday to the "Dark Continent"
Animals of all shapes and sizes could pose a safety hazard. I have grown up in the bush environment and being a qualified guide for the last 8 years; you can rest assured that every safety precaution is taken.
Animals in camp are a normal occurrence and treated with respect, and keeping a safe distance all would be fine.
Towns we would be visiting are safe and my personal supervision ensures it will be enjoyable for all.
Personal belonging must be insured in your own country to cover any losses.

Most mishaps are the result of not following the regulations and safety requirements.
Do things right, Don't take chances, and rather be safe than sorry

FOOD

Food is cooked either on the open fire or with gas stoves
Some of the dishes can be out of this world.
Traditional foods will also be cooked to add to that real Africa Experience
Don't worry No funny worms or creatures
Only GOOD Food

ACCOMMODATION

At most of the places where we visit we will be sleeping in either tents, lodges, permanent luxury tented camps or hotels
The tents we would be using are dome tents with mosquito netting inside.
Stretchers are used to sleep on with mattress
All the camp sites that we visit have shower and toilet facilities and are up to standard and clean
A permanent tented camp is where the tents are built on either a wooden or concrete platform.
The competition amongst lodges in all the areas we visit is quite stiff, so needless to say all you need is right there

VEHICLES

The vehicles we use are Toyota double cabs or Land rovers in both options they would be 4 X 4 and fully rigged for any thing that we would need.
Aircon to make the driving, of which we will do much of, more comfortable and more enjoyable.
Traveling distances could vary from 93 miles/ 150 km to 621 miles/1000km per day or second day just depending on how long we would be staying at one particular camp.
This is the best way to really see a country and appreciate its beauty.

PASSPORTS

Make sure your passport doesn't expire in a few months
Visas into neighboring countries could be obtained at the border.

TRAVELERS CHEQUES OR CASH

Travellers cheques are safer however, many places where we stop, refuse to take them so unfortunately if you do want to do some excursions you will need cash
They will except US $, Euro, Pounds.
